Remove the Secure Search Chrome Extension

Secure Search is a Google Chrome extension that describes itself as “Keep your search secure and history private with Secure Search the anonymous, fully secure(SSL) search engine and privacy extension.
“. When installed, Secure Search will make it so that any searches made from the address bar will be redirected through multiple sites and eventually display search results from Yahoo.

The Secure Search extension will also cause searches performed directly on search engines to first go through http:/search.hr, which then redirects to Yahoo.com. The search engines that are affected by this extension are bing.com, google.com, myway.com, thesmartsearch.net, searchprivacy.co, myprivatesearch.com, searchlock.com, teoma.com, mysearch.com, duckduckgo.com, when.com, webcrawler.com, search.infospace.com, aol.com, and ask.com.

Yahoo will then display the search results for the keyword. The developers are most likely utilizing Yahoo search in order to generate revenue from advertisements shown in the search results.
