Soaring computer hardware prices have taken the joy out of PC building. However, Walmart’s latest wave of discounts has brought in a massive 38% discount on MSI’s Codex Z2C gaming system. The prebuilt 1080p (1920×1080) powerhouse is available for $999, an incredible $600 in savings.
The Codex Z2C is a prebuilt gaming system designed to run modern games at 1080p with impressive frame rates. It has enough firepower to handle 1440p (2560×1440) gaming, but you must keep the image quality within reasonable expectations. Unlike other prebuilt machines, the Codex Z2V uses standard computer hardware, so future upgrades are still possible.
MSI has equipped the Codex Z2C with the Pro B840-VC WiFi motherboard, which utilizes the modern AM5 socket. It provides a solid foundation with plenty of upgrade potential. At the heart of the Codex Z2C is an octa-core Ryzen 7 8700F processor with a boost clock up to 5 GHz. Paired with the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB graphics card, the duo delivers a balanced mix of processing and graphics power for smooth 1080p gaming.
By default, the Codex Z2C includes 16GB (2x8GB) of DDR5 memory and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. Thanks to the Pro B840-VC WiFi motherboard, you get four DDR5 memory slots and two PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slots, so you have plenty of upgrade options going forward.
Currently priced at just $999, the Codex Z2C represents one of the best values on the market for 1080p gamers with a sub-$1,000 budget. The popularity of this deal speaks for itself. Walmart reports that customers have bought over 500 units since yesterday alone. If you need a 1080p gaming system today, do not think twice, or you will miss out, as inventory is moving very fast.
