It’s a crucial clash in the race for this season’s La Liga title at the Metropolitano Stadium on Sunday, as second-place Atlético Madrid hosts current pace-setter Barcelona.

Bottom Line
Atlético is just two points behind its visitor as it goes in search of a statement win in its quest for a first La Liga title since 2021. Diego Simeone’s players have lost just once in the league this season, but will need to bounce back following a timid 2-0 defeat away to Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.
Hansi Flick’s Barça, meanwhile, will be buoyed by an impressive attacking display in its 3-0 midweek UCL win over Premier League side Aston Villa, in a match that saw Brazilian star Raphinha twice. That victory came hot on the heels of a 6-0 La Liga trouncing of Alavés last Saturday, which saw the Blaugrana forward line once again run riot.
